The overall goal of the STEP-BD project is to improve treatment of bipolar mood disorder by finding the best way to deliver the most effective treatment available and to provide answers to the many important questions confronting the field.

Boston, MA, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA and University of Colorado, Boulder and Denver, CO. Each of these regional sites has its own particular responsibilities in study management and conduct.

STEP-BD Women's Studies
With funding from the National Institute for Mental Health (NIMH), a search for safe and effective treatment options for women is being carried out by the STEP-BD Women's Studies (SWS).
